This program is open to anyone who wishes to apply and meets our qualifications. We do not discriminate against the disabled, veterans, or any individual based on race, age, color, sex, religion, or national origin.

Applicants can pick up an application and the scholarship guidelines from the Village of Bellwood starting January 1 of each year. The deadline for submitting the application is April 15 of each year.

Application Selection Process:

All college bound applicants, who apply for scholarship grants through this program, are thoroughly investigated to confirm:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Resident of the Cook County, or Illinois area
• Each receipient must be a high school graduate and submit proof
• Parents & students must submit proof of income such as, W2's and must be in need
• Each receipient must complete twenty hours of community service such as; reading to little kids, and senior citizens etc
• Members of this scholarship board of directors & families are not eligible to apply for scholarship through this program
• Each receipient must maintain a GPA of not less than a "C" overall
• Scholarship grants are not transferable from one receipient to the next
